Through Vinyasa, meditation and Pranayama, we will explore ourselves and our surroundings. Togeher we will learn how our feet can find their own meter and how our bodies can hold more breath.

Schedule +

Morning Vinyasa and afternoon Restorative/Pranayama with the intent of finding balance, ease & grace. Light schedule of days, which will include Vinyasa, meditation and Pranayama. Just enough to give a feel for the retreat.

Accomodations & Price +

A retreat is a container to hold your practice. Well, we have quite the stunning container. Cocoon Portugal sits in national parkland along the Costa Vicentina, a little-known gem (unless you are Portugese, or say, Carla Bruni). Cocoon is located in the coastal Alentejo region. Also known as The Costa Vicentina, much of the Southwest coast of Portugal is protected by a natural reserve. This means that development stays constrained, with traditional architecture + small farms dotting the land. The nearest town to us is the charming Vila Nova de Milfontes. The fabulous Praiado Malhão, with it’s sandy beach, is ten minutes drive.

Food +

We believe that a nourishing meal and a delicious feast don’t need to be exclusive of one another. Our food is local, with most of our produce coming from either our property or a nearby farm. From a sustainability standpoint, we choose not to serve red meat, pork or poultry. We do serve eggs from our chickens, locals cheeses, and occasionally wild-caught Atlantic fish. A typical breakfast includes eggs, local fruit, Greek yogurt, homemade granola, local honey, homemade jam, slow-rise bread, and a daily tonic. Lunch is often a bowl; a base of ancient grains like farro, topped with avocado, roasted veggies, nori, or mixed greens. For dinner, expect Indian + Japanese curries, Mediterranean stews, legumes, rice, salad and dessert. We also have an outdoor, wood-fired Pizza oven.

Retreat Policy +

ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON- REFUNDABLE AND NON- TRANSFERABLE. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON- REFUNDABLE AND NON- TRANSFERABLE. An invoice with the balance will be sent by email within 60days of the retreat or immediately if deposit is submitted within 60day.

COVID Flexibility- swap retreats with ease up. Within the 60day window of the retraet, if you must cancel, a 60% credit will be applied to any future retraet. 40% will be non- refundable in line with the retreat center's policy.

A $500 USD non-refundable & non-transferrable deposit is required to reserve a space in the retreat (unless cancelation is COVID related- transfers to a new retreat are available). The balance is due on March 15th, 2022. A credit of the balance (to be used for a future retreat) will be given for cancellations made 60 days prior to the start of the retreat and is non-transferrable. No credits or refunds will be given after that (59 days before the start of the retreat). Please be sure to purchase travel insurance.
